Good Friday & Easter Sunday
You’re Invited
Easter Weekend is a meaningful time to gather as we reflect on the love of Jesus shown at the cross and celebrate the hope we have because He is alive. Whether you’ve been in church for years, haven’t been in a long time, or are simply looking for a place to come and hear truth, you are welcome here.
At Forward Church, we open the Bible and walk through it verse by verse. This Easter, we invite you to join us for Good Friday and Easter Sunday as we worship together and center our hearts on Jesus.
Good Friday
Friday, April 3 at 7:00 PM
📍 341 Vincennes St, New Albany, IN

Good Friday is a time to slow down and remember the incredible love of Jesus shown at the cross. Through worship, Scripture, and reflection, we’ll gather to consider the sacrifice of Christ and the grace we’ve been given through Him.
forKids Ministry
During the Good Friday service, our forKids ministry will have a special time prepared just for kids, with lessons, crafts, and activities designed to help set their hearts toward Easter Sunday.
Sign-ups are not required, but if you already know you’ll be attending the Good Friday service, you’re welcome to sign your kids up here online or at the Welcome Desk. This helps us plan ahead and have the right number of volunteers ready to serve.
Easter Sunday
Sunday, April 5 at 10:30 AM
📍 341 Vincennes St, New Albany, IN

On Easter Sunday, we gather to celebrate the hope and victory we have in Jesus. The cross was not the end of the story. Jesus is alive, and that changes everything. Join us as we worship, open the Bible, and celebrate the truth of the gospel together.
forKids & Propel
On Easter Sunday, kids from Nursery through 5th Grade will have a fun, meaningful experience designed to help them know and follow Jesus.
Our forKids team provides a safe, welcoming environment, and no registration is required — just check them in when you arrive.
During the message, Propel Middle will gather for Bible-focused teaching, while high school students remain in the main service.
What to expect
Forward Church is a place where you’ll find real community, heartfelt worship, biblical teaching, and something for the whole family. Easter Weekend is a meaningful time to visit, whether you’re coming with friends, bringing your family, or attending on your own.
Atmosphere
Come as you are. Leave encouraged.
We’re a casual, welcoming church where you don’t need to have it all together. Whether you come in jeans or dressed up for Easter, you’ll fit right in. Expect friendly faces, genuine community, and a warm environment from the moment you arrive.
Worship
Live music that lifts up the name of Jesus.
Our worship is heartfelt and Christ-centered — not just songs, but a time to refocus, reflect, and respond to who God is. Easter Weekend gives us a special opportunity to gather in worship as we remember the cross and celebrate the resurrection.
Teaching
Truth straight from God’s Word.
Every message at Forward is grounded in Scripture and speaks to real life. We walk through the Bible verse by verse, and Easter Weekend will reflect that same heartbeat, with teaching centered on Jesus, the gospel, and the hope we have in Him.
forKids
Fun, safe, and centered on Jesus.
Our forKids ministry helps children build a foundation of faith through age-appropriate Bible teaching, activities, music, and community. Throughout Easter Weekend, kids will have opportunities to learn about Jesus in a way designed just for them.
Propel
Faith-building for the next generation.
Propel is our student ministry for middle and high schoolers. Students gather for friendship, discipleship, and Christ-centered teaching. Middle school students break out during the Sunday message for age-appropriate teaching, while high school students remain in the main service.
Adult Bible Study
Grow deeper before the service.
Join us Sunday mornings from 9–10 AM, just before the worship service. This group meets in the classroom behind the Worship Center and is open to all adults who want to grow in faith and community through Bible study and discussion.
Community
Coffee, conversation, and connection.
Come early, grab a cup of coffee, and meet someone new. Whether you’re ready to jump in or just exploring, you’ll find space to connect at your own pace.
What should I expect when I arrive?
Friendly faces, warm greetings, worship, biblical teaching, and a welcoming environment. You don’t need to know anything ahead of time — just come as you are.
Do I need to dress up?
Not at all. Some people enjoy dressing up a little for Easter, while others come in jeans and something comfortable. What matters most is that you’re here.
