Donations for our back-to-school clothing drive for the Floyd County area schools are due back THIS Sunday, July 27th.

Reminder we are accepting new clothing donations of shorts, pants shirts, socks and undergarments for grades Kindergarten through 12th grade. Thank you for blessing the children in our community who need a little extra help.

Interested in sharing the love of Christ! Join us once a month as we share a meal with the ladies residing at The Breakaway Recovery House. These ladies are our neighbors just across the alley from Forward Church. We want these ladies to feel welcome to come and worship at Forward if they do not have a church home.

Volunteers from our church will prepare a meal and fellowship with the ladies living there. Women of Forward, if you would like to help or if you have an questions, email Tonia Hatfield at Hatfield912@gmail.com.

Our Women of Forward Fall Retreat is November 6th-8th in New Harmony, Indiana. We have a couple of rooms left and space for 8 more people. If you are still interested in coming, please stop out at the Welcome Desk this weekend and speak with Lisa Sutherland. We would LOVE to have you! And if you’ve already made plans to come, you can also let Lisa know your rooming preferences.

Women of Forward, are you a mother of a middle school child and could use some parenting encouragement? We understand the challenges of this age group and we want to help support you! We will have a day of encouragement coming this fall. We will have a panel discussion with wise mothers who have already walked this journey and will help by pouring out their wisdom, guidance and love for you. As we are getting the date nailed down, please go ahead and send in any parenting questions you may have. You can submit your questions to Lisa Sutherland at lisa@forwardchurchfamily.com. Perspectives is a fifteen-lesson discipleship course exploring different aspects of God’s global purpose in a multi-faceted learning experience. Perspectives isn’t a course solely about world missions. It’s a study program rooted in Scripture clarifying each believer’s remarkable opportunity to co-labor with God in His global purpose.

Classes begin Sunday, August 3, 2025 beginning at 5pm at Eastside Christian Church, 2319 Veterans Parkway Jeffersonville IN 47130. There is a registration and orientation meeting on July 27, 2025 from 5:00-8:00 PM.

Men, if you are hoping to connect with other men in the church, this is a great group to be a part of! Forward’s Tuesday evening men’s group is a place where guys can study God’s Word and take time to build friendships with other Godly men. Jump in any time. The men meet at the church starting at 6:30pm.

The Chest of Joash provides an opportunity to give above and beyond the normal tithe. The money from it goes directly to work needed done on our building.

In 2 Chronicles 24 we find Joash repairing the temple and a chest was set outside of it for people to bring a tithe that was used to pay the workers restoring the temple. Verse 10 says, “And all the princes and all the people rejoiced and brought their tax and dropped it into the chest until they had finished.”
