What’s Happening 9/5/25

Congratulations to Desiree Stucky who was baptized this past Sunday!! We also welcome new Forward Church members Jamie & Kristen Hooten. We celebrate all the ways God is moving and working in the lives of people here at Forward.

To all our moms of pre-teens and teenagers, we are having a special day of encouragement for you on Sunday, September 21st at 12:30pm following the service.

We understand the challenges of this age group and we want to help support you! We will have a panel discussion with other moms who have already walked this journey and will help by answering questions and sharing wisdom on what they have learned. They will do their best to give Godly guidance and hopefully help you feel encouraged to go out and parent your teen with more confidence.

Lunch will be provided, so please get registered on-line today and let us know you’re coming. Childcare will not be available for this event.

Way to go Forward Church Family!! We are currently leading the board in our area for having the most donations for the Walk for Life! Thank you for giving so generously to this great cause.

We are only a few hundred dollars away from our church goal of $2000. Let’s keep it going and finish strong. One of the prizes for receiving the most donations is a pair of golden shoelaces for the Pastor. How great would that be to give these to Pastor Neil since he loves running so much?!

The walk will take place at Sam Peden Community Park on Saturday, September 20, 2025. Registration for the walk starts at 9am, the walk starts at 10am.

Our Women of Forward Fall Retreat is November 6th-8th in New Harmony, Indiana. The total cost of the retreat is $240. The deadline for full payment is September 28th, which means, we are down to just 4 more weeks to get those payments in!

Interested in sharing the love of Christ! Join us once a month as we share a meal with the ladies residing at The Breakaway Recovery House. These ladies are our neighbors just across the alley from Forward Church. We want these ladies to feel welcome to come and worship at Forward if they do not have a church home.

Volunteers from our church will prepare a meal and fellowship with the ladies living there. Women of Forward, if you would like to help or if you have an questions, email Tonia Hatfield at Hatfield912@gmail.com.

Men, if you are hoping to connect with other men in the church, this is a great group to be a part of! Forward’s Tuesday evening men’s group is a place where guys can study God’s Word and take time to build friendships with other Godly men. Jump in any time. The men meet at the church starting at 6:30pm.

Our Propel Middle & High School Ministry meets every Wednesday evening at the church from 7:00-8:30pm. For our teens, this is a great environment to build community and sit under solid Biblical teaching. Come out and invite a friend!

The Chest of Joash provides an opportunity to give above and beyond the normal tithe. The money from it goes directly to work needed done on our building.

In 2 Chronicles 24 we find Joash repairing the temple and a chest was set outside of it for people to bring a tithe that was used to pay the workers restoring the temple. Verse 10 says, “And all the princes and all the people rejoiced and brought their tax and dropped it into the chest until they had finished.”
