Belize Mission Trip 2025
Our mission team is on their way home from Belize. Please keep them in your prayers.
The team was able to minister in many different ways in the short time they were there. They had a VBS for the youth, worked painting inside the church, held a Bible study for the women, distributed food to the hungry and most importantly they prayed for and proclaimed the gospel to the people in the community. Thank you to our Forward family members who made the sacrifice to go and to minister in Belize.
Mark 16:15, “And he said to them, ‘Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.'”
Men of Forward, you are all invited to a summer barbecue at Hardy Lake. There will be BBQ, fellowship and activities. Come out, eat some great food and relax hanging out with the men of Forward. This event is Saturday, July 26th. *If you plan to fish, make sure to have a fishing license.

Women of Forward, are you a mother of a middle school child and could use some parenting encouragement? We understand the challenges of this age group and we want to help support you! We will have a day of encouragement coming this fall. We will have a panel discussion with wise mothers who have already walked this journey and will help by pouring out their wisdom, guidance and love for you. As we are getting the date nailed down, please go ahead and send in any parenting questions you may have. You can submit your questions to Lisa Sutherland at lisa@forwardchurchfamily.com. We want to give a big thank you to all who donated to Hope Southern IN “Pack the Bus”. We received so many school supplies! We truly have the most generous church family.
And please don’t forget, we are also helping out local Floyd County schools by supporting the Floyd County Health Department Back to School Clothing Drive. These donations need to be NEW clothing items. We will be accepting new clothing donations of shorts, pants shirts, socks and undergarments for grades Kindergarten through 12th grade. If you like, you can pick up age/size slips at the Welcome Desk this weekend. These donations will be due by Sunday, July 27th.
Our Merge young adult group WILL NOT be meeting at the church for the month of July. Instead we will have two fun outings.
If you are a young adult and have been wanting to try Merge, this is an easy, fun way to get introduced to the group, so we hope you will come out to these events!
Join us for Puttshack on July 7th (must register by Monday, June 30th). For our July 21st gathering, we will meet at the home of one of our leaders for a summer BBQ. Details to come.

Our Women of Forward Fall Retreat is SOLD OUT!! Our retreat is November 6th-8th in New Harmony, Indiana. For those registered, please get your deposits turned in. The total cost of the retreat is $240.

Each month we are honored to serve the ladies at the Breakaway House, which is located just down the road from Forward Church. Volunteers from our church provide a meal and visit for a couple of hours with the ladies that live there. Women of Forward, helping with Breakaway meals is a great way you can get involved in the community. Typically we need 4-5 women to serve or simply sign up to meal.

Perspectives is a fifteen-lesson discipleship course exploring different aspects of God’s global purpose in a multi-faceted learning experience. Perspectives isn’t a course solely about world missions. It’s a study program rooted in Scripture clarifying each believer’s remarkable opportunity to co-labor with God in His global purpose.
Classes begin Sunday, August 3, 2025 beginning at 5pm at Eastside Christian Church, 2319 Veterans Parkway Jeffersonville IN 47130. There is a registration and orientation meeting on July 27, 2025 from 5:00-8:00 PM.

Our Tuesday evening men’s bible study will take a short summer break. The study will pick back up on Tuesday, July 15th.
Men, if you are hoping to connect with other men in the church, this is a great group to be a part of! Forward’s Tuesday evening men’s group is a place where guys can study God’s Word and take time to build friendships with other Godly men.

Chest Of Joash
The Chest of Joash provides an opportunity to give above and beyond the normal tithe. The money from it goes directly to work needed done on our building.
In 2 Chronicles 24 we find Joash repairing the temple and a chest was set outside of it for people to bring a tithe that was used to pay the workers restoring the temple. Verse 10 says, “And all the princes and all the people rejoiced and brought their tax and dropped it into the chest until they had finished.”
