🎶 forKids Christmas Handbell Choir— Ring in Christmas! 🎄

Get ready to make a joyful noise! Our forKids Christmas Handbell Choir will perform at the Christmas worship service on Sunday, December 21st.

Bring the whole family and join us as we live out one of our core identities here at Forward — We are Worshippers. This will be a powerful evening of praise, prayer, and seeking God together as a church family.

Please note — this is a family worship gathering, so childcare will only be provided for 3 years old and under. We encourage everyone of all ages to come and experience worship together.

🎄 Prison Fellowship Angel Tree is Coming to Forward!

Hi, Forward Church family! My name is Betsy, and I have an exciting announcement for you—Angel Tree is coming to Forward!

Prison Fellowship Angel Tree is a ministry that serves children with incarcerated parents and their families. This Christmas, we have the privilege of purchasing gifts for these children on behalf of their incarcerated parent and delivering them with a personal message from that parent. Through these gifts, the children will know they are loved, remembered, and not forgotten.

We’ll be hosting this as a Women’s Event, but the whole family is invited to attend! Join us on Friday, December 5, at 6:30 PM. Ladies, please bring an appetizer to share and a gift for a child. We’ll enjoy food, fellowship, gift wrapping, and I’ll share more about this wonderful ministry.

You can sign up at the Welcome Center and select an Angel to purchase gifts for. Each gift should be valued around $25. Take your family shopping to pick out gifts for the child (or children) you chose, then bring those gifts with you to the event for wrapping.

If we run out of Angels, don’t worry! You can still participate by donating $25 Walmart gift cards, which will be used to bless parents in the home. These can also be donated if you’re unable to attend the event.

At the end of the evening, we’ll organize the gifts by family for personal delivery—a wonderful way for your whole family to share the love of Christ and invite these families to Forward if they don’t have a church home.

I look forward to seeing you on December 5th as we celebrate the joy of giving together!

Share the Love of Christ – Serve at The Breakaway Recovery House

Join us once a month as we share a meal and the love of Christ with the ladies residing at The Breakaway Recovery House, our neighbors just across the alley from Forward Church. Our goal is to make these women feel welcomed, valued, and invited to worship with us if they don’t have a church home.

Volunteers from Forward Church will prepare a meal and/or spend time in fellowship with the residents. Women of Forward, if you’d like to help or learn more, please contact Tonia Hatfield at Hatfield912@gmail.com.

We’re currently studying the fundamentals of our faith and tackling some key apologetic questions to help strengthen your understanding and confidence in God’s Word.

The Chest of Joash provides an opportunity to give above and beyond the normal tithe. The money from it goes directly to work needed done on our building.

In 2 Chronicles 24 we find Joash repairing the temple and a chest was set outside of it for people to bring a tithe that was used to pay the workers restoring the temple. Verse 10 says, “And all the princes and all the people rejoiced and brought their tax and dropped it into the chest until they had finished.”
